“Guilty!” That was the verdict from a Jackson County jury today for three men who took part in the failed 2020 plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
The men, Paul Bellar, Joseph Morrison and Pete Musico, were all found guilty of providing support to a terrorist, being a member of a gang, and there was a felony weapons charge.
Bellar was only one of the trio in court for this morning’s verdict. His partners in crime were on Zoom because of COVID issues. And one of them, Morrison, appeared to cry when the jury’s decisions were announced.
Sentencing for the trio is set for December 15th. Each man could get up to 42 years in prison.
