Great Britain has a new prime minister today -- the third one this year.
Rishi Sunak was officially confirmed as leader of the British government following a meeting with King Charles. Under the country's constitutional monarchy, the King plays a ceremonial role in appointing the head of the government.
Sunak, who is the first non-white PM in the nation's history, is expected to get to work immediately appointing a cabinet and tackling a troubled British economy that appears headed toward a recession.
