Peppermint Creek Theatre produces large-cast musical as the first show in their new home, Stage One Performing Arts Center
Lansing, MI - Peppermint Creek Theatre Company is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated production of the Broadway sensation "The Prom," set to captivate audiences at Stage One Performing Arts Center in Lansing, MI. This heartwarming and uplifting musical promises an unforgettable experience, blending humor, passion, and an electrifying soundtrack that will leave audiences dancing in their seats.
About the Show: "The Prom" is a Tony Award-nominated musical that follows the hilarious and heartwarming journey of four Broadway stars whose glamorous careers take an unexpected turn. When their self-involved celebrity activism backfires, they find themselves in a small Indiana town rallying behind a high school girl who just wants to bring her girlfriend to the prom. Filled with catchy tunes, sensational choreography, and a message of acceptance, "The Prom" has become a modern classic that resonates with audiences of all ages. PCTC's production of "The Prom" stars 23 local performers, more than half new to our theatre and audiences!
Director's Vision: Peppermint Creek Artistic Director and Director of “The Prom”, Chad Swan-Badgero, expresses his excitement about bringing "The Prom" to the Peppermint Creek Theatre stage, stating, "Central to PCTCs mission is to address current issues and create dialogue around those issues. “The Prom” couldn’t be timelier and more important as a celebration of love, inclusion, and the power of individuals to make a positive change. Ticket Prices: $20 (General Admission), $15 (Students/Seniors 65+/Veterans)
Ticket Purchase: Tickets can be purchased online at www.peppermintcreek.org or at the theatre the night of the performance. Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to the show.
