Pedal with the Prez returns

Updated: Aug 22

New features added as the event enters fourth year

LANSING, Mich. (July 16, 2024) – LCC President Steve Robinson’s Pedal with the Prez event continues for the fourth year with the next bide ride scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.

The bimonthly bike rides begins on the Downtown Campus with riders pedaling off from the Granger Clock Tower. These fun, safe, bi-weekly rides meander along Lansing’s scenic River Trail through downtown, REO Town, and Old Town, ending with FREE ice cream at Artic Corner, courtesy of President Robinson.

Regular low-impact cycling promotes weight loss, builds muscle, and can strengthen your immune system, boost brain power, cut your risk of heart disease and cancer, and improve navigational skills, and overall mental well-being.

New for 2024, themed bike rides, and for the July 24 ride it’s all about the beach! Bring your best beach-themed bike decorations or outfits – think sunglasses, beach hats, and tropical shirts. Each rider will receive a colorful lei to sport during the ride and there will be prizes for the best decorations and outfits, as voted on by participants at Artic Corner.

Another fun feature for 2024, is the Pedal Points Program. You’ll earn a punch for each ride you complete and after just three punches you’re on your way to exclusive rewards. You can pick up your punch card when you join us for the ride. Grab your bike and helmet and come ride with us.
