Michigan State football takes “next step” adding 4- star players to their 2023 roster on signing day

Today is national signing day for high school and college athletes to legally commit to the university they are attending in the fall. After their 5-7 season, Michigan State looks to add new talent to bulk up their squad for future success next season. As of 11:30am est, The Spartans have already added 17 new additions, mixing high school 3-4 stars and transfers, some from within the Big Ten.


With The Transfer Portal wide open, we see MSU has signed players from Wisconsin and University of North Carolina, to name a couple.


Highly anticipated class 2023 runningback Jaelon Barbarin from Simi Valley, California has signed on with State this morning. A three-star, well, known receiver out of Texas Jaelen Smith also officially signed with MSU after being offered by the Minnesota Golphers.


Four-star Defensive Lineman Jalen Thompson also officially signed saying "I will be staying home!! #gogreen" He comes out of Detroit.
