Michigan Legislature headed for Total Democratic Control

The voters of Michigan were apparently in a 'Democrat' frame of mind yesterday. When all the votes are tallied, it now appears likely that Democratic state lawmakers will have a majority in both the House and Senate -- something that hasn't happened in Michigan in nearly 4 decades.

The Dems last had a majority in the state House in 2009. In the Senate, you must go back to 1984 to find Democrats in control of the legislature's upper chamber.
