Although they had a tough day from the field, The Michigan State Men's basketball team secured their berth into the Sweet Sixteen Sunday evening with a 69-60 victory over a No. 2 seed Marquette.

In a way the rallying of the team, the fight and grit seem to be a reflection of Michigan State and the entire East Lansing Community as they continue to show great strides of healing and resilience in the way they have handled February's on-campus tragedy.
After a sometimes unpredictable regular season, with the Spartans losing their first game in the Big 10 tournament, Izzo's teams know how to turn their wheels on and tempo up when it matters most. He has headed 15 journeys to the sweet sixteen, one of which ended in a National Title (2000).
The Spartans will take on top-seeded Kansas State (26-9) Thursday, March 23 at 6:30pm in New York City.
