Lansing, MI – Willow Tree Family Center has been honored to host a Santa Meet & Greet with our community since 2016. Last year during COVID, we were able to meet with Santa via zoom, but this year, he is back in person!
Please join the Willow Tree Family Center, The Village Lansing, Black Lives Matter - Lansing, and Blue Cross Complete at a special event designed to heighten diversity awareness this Christmas season. It is important for children to see a Santa who reflects their ethnicity, or who can challenge their notions of what Santa should look like. This event will encourage inclusivity and provide an opening for you to talk to your child about racial harmony.
Santa will be available to meet your children from 10am-2pm. This year you will have the opportunity to interact with Santa in Spanish from 12pm-2pm.
At the event, children can enjoy: Crafts, snacks, hot chocolate and a Santa mailbox to mail your letter to Santa so he will not forget what they are asking for! Children will be able to meet Santa and families can enjoy a photograph. Every 30 minutes through the event, there will be a drawing for a door prize!
This is a free event for the whole community but Willow Tree Family Center will accept donations to support future events if you are able. To read more about this event, visit http://www.willowtreefamily.com/santa-meet-greet/
