Former Vice President Mike Pence says he came to the Lansing area with one goal in mind -- to help "flip the House" for Republicans.
Pence was in Charlotte on Friday to campaign for State Senator Tom Barrett in his challenge against Democrat Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin.
Earlier this week, Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney, the daughter of another former Republican Vice President, was in Lansing to endorse Slotkin, a Democrat, in the race for Michigan's newly redrawn 7th district congressional seat.
Analysts say the race for that seat is the most expensive in the country and might be
key to the GOP winning a majority in the House of Representatives.
