Lansing, MI – October 3, 2022 – Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) is excited to announce it will be hosting several events and activities in celebration of Halloween. Throughout the month of October, patrons will have the opportunity to enjoy performances from magicians, pumpkin painting events and more. Additional details about each event are provided below: Halloween Magic with Cameron Zvara The whole family can enjoy some spooky fun with comedy magician and entertainer, Cameron Zvara. Wanda the Wacky Witch Halloween Fun Show Wanda is a fun-loving, non-scary witch with plenty of wacky magic wands. Author Event Author Kat Tedsen has researched hundreds of reported hauntings and legends of paranormal activity. Participants can learn how she got to the truth behind these myths and unsolved mysteries during this event, titled “Tales of Michigan Haunting and Other Unexplainable Things.” This event will be hosted in-person and virtually. Pumpkin Painting Library patrons can get in the Halloween spirit by decorating a mini pumpkin that they can take home. Pumpkins and painting supplies will be provided (while supplies last). During the event, participants will have the chance to win passes to the
Ingham County Fair’s Jack-O-Lanterns Unleashed event, taking place throughout the month of October. A list of pumpkin painting events can be found here. Take & Makes Several CADL branches will be offering Halloween themed Take & Make kits, which include instructions and supplies to do a project or craft at home. Learn more at cadl.org/onrequest.
