LANSING - The KDL Foundation, Inc. and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Kappa Delta Lambda Chapter - will host their annual Black & Gold Scholarship Ball at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the University Club of Michigan State University, James Henry Center, 3535 Forest Road, Lansing, MI, to celebrate the chapter’s 51st anniversary. This year’s theme is “To the Youth: Sowing Seeds of Success into the Next Generation.” The keynote speaker is Alpha Phi Alpha’s Midwestern Regional Vice President-Elect Franklin Stacy Jr. Our foundation will award six $1,000 college scholarships to Janayia Edwards, East Lansing High School; Blake Haller, Dewitt High School; Nia Lynette Long, East Lansing High School; Kennedy Perkins, Okemos High School; Bryce Logan Dean Sanders, Okemos High School and Jeffrey Stych, Sexton High School. The KDL Foundation, including 2023 scholarship awards, has had the pleasure to sow seeds in our youth by giving over $15,000 to Greater Lansing students since 2021.
